This multifaceted development features seven apartment blocks, the tallest reaching 16 storeys, alongside seven commercial spaces, a community center, a place of worship, and a childcare facility.
Enhancements to the area's infrastructure comprise road improvements and accommodations for pedestrians and cyclists. A new junction from Blanchardstown Road South and an internal road ensure smooth access for all, whether on foot, bike, or by car.
Our involvement in this multifaceted project, encompassing Residential Blocks A, B, C, Commercial structures, and the iconic Blue Mall, was a pivotal experience that honed our production expertise.
The Blanchardstown Town Centre project comprises three main development stages, known as Site A, Site B, and Site C:
These stages have collectively made Blanchardstown one of Ireland’s largest and most popular shopping and commercial hubs.
Site A: This was the original core of the development, consisting of the shopping mall that opened in 1996. It features over 180 stores, including major anchor tenants like Marks & Spencer and Penneys, a food court, and various leisure facilities. Site A remains the busiest part of the centre, with ongoing enhancements to retail space and access improvements.

Site B: Site B involves additional commercial developments surrounding the original mall. This includes external retail parks that house larger format stores like DIY and furniture outlets. Office spaces and non-retail services, such as Fingal County Council's headquarters and eBay's office, were also established in this area, making it a hub for both shopping and business.
2
Site C: The most recent phase of expansion, Site C, focuses on leisure and hospitality. It includes the Draíocht Arts Centre, Ireland's largest public library, and the 200-room Crowne Plaza Hotel. This area enhances the site's appeal as a mixed-use destination, offering amenities beyond just shopping, including entertainment and accommodation.

The Blue Mall is a part of the larger Blanchardstown Centre, specifically designed as a section within the main shopping complex. It hosts a variety of retail stores and dining options. In the context of the larger development, the Blue Mall represents one of the key areas within Site A, the core shopping and leisure facility of Blanchardstown Centre.
This section contributes to the diversity and attractiveness of the Centre by offering shoppers a range of brands and experiences distinct from other areas like the Red and Green Malls. The layout of different "color" malls helps in navigating the large complex and creates a varied shopping experience that caters to different consumer preferences and needs.
€450 million Site A funded by Goldman Sachs and consisting of plans for a 971 unit apartment scheme.

Blue Mall Extension
Delivering ten new restaurant units, a significant new thriving square and an extensive public realm, the Blue Mall extension begins to deliver the transformation of Blanchardstown Shopping Centre to a more traditional major town centre.
We emphasized the captivating entrance portal and showcased the internal courtyard as a vibrant social nexus, complete with bars, restaurants, and squares adorned with sculptures and lush greenery.
The masterplan proposals include two new public squares, new pedestrian routes and the restoration of historically important laneways.
In the world of architectural visualisation, verified photomontages are a powerful tool to envision future developments within their real-world context. Through this meticulous process, we offer a glimpse into the future, showing how new architectural feats harmoniously coexist within their intended surroundings.
